February Lovin'

I really can't wrap my mind around what we did last month because we are in the midst of a major interior renovation. Translation = Momma is going crazy! We are prisoners out of our own house right now. It's like a fire drill every morning to get everyone dressed, fed, and ready to be out of the house until our return for bed time. I truly cannot wait to share pictures of our remodel. We did begin some exterior improvements: removed the ugly rod iron and replaced it with higher walls, repainted the exterior, removed all the landscaping and the massive pine tree and boulder formation in the front yard, redid the patio cover, tore down the other patio cover, and will completely relandscape later this month. It's been nutty to say the least, but exciting too.

What are the babes up to? Well, both Clayton and Chloe still bring us tremendous joy, but lately they have definitely become more challenging. They know what they want and when they want it and if we don't meet their commands instantly, the world ends! Clay is more relentless and will whine and pester until he gets what he wants or is taken upstairs to his room for a "rest," which seems to snap him out his funk. Chloe (oh, Chloe!)...she throws ginormous tantrums and anything in her path is collateral dammage. The only calming technique for Chloe when she gets in her funks is for me to be silent, carry her upstairs, put her under the window in her room, she writhes on the floor for about 10 seconds and then calms down. Their rooms seem to be their calming place. Otherwise, they are busy with play dates, park days, love being outside, riding their bikes, going to My Gym, dressing up, and being Mommy and Daddy's little shadows.

Here's some pictures from February...

Diligently working on Valentine's Day cards

Spoiled, yet ridiculously loved children seeing their Valentine's surprises

Licking cookie beaters...the best part!

Daddy's angels cheering him on at his handball tournament

Beach day with our friends The Yokoyama's

Family bike ride

Daddy surprised Clayton and Chloe at my cheer and song reunion--his station is right down the street. We all had a blast!

Yay for renewed Disneyland passes!

Chloe is not a fan of Mickey, but LOVED Cinderella.

"Look, Mommy, we have a new trick!"

Handsome kid

Clayton and Chloe are getting so good at riding their bikes. Chloe now gets on and rides for a bit and Clayton knows how to run, go fast, downhill, and pick up his feet (aka--balance!)
