Sunshine and Summertime July!

I LOVE summer, especially July because it's my only full month off. It has been so nice being home with no true commitments. Clayton started basketball through the city. City classes are questionable, but this class has been awesome. He's learning a lot and is doing so well. The coaches complimented his dribbling skills and ability to dribble with both hands. Ryan doesn't sit down; he's the only parent "coaching" his son from the sidelines. Clay better get used to it because he's got lots more years of his dad and Papa Jim coaching him from the sidelines! Clayton is super excited to start soccer! We just got his first real soccer schedule. He has practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting this next week! Chloe started gymnastics, but it wasn't as well-run of a program, so we are just dancing now. She moved into a 4 year old class and wow, what a transition! The teacher is amazing, but the class is much more challenging, strict, and meaningful. I was afraid Chloe would struggle with the change in teaching styles, but so far, she is doing wonderfully. She wants to practice and needs to because flexibility is a must in this class. She will start going twice a week in September. Easton is doing soccer through the city. The first two classes were miserable for both of us. He had no interest in participating with the group and didn't really want to be out on the grass period. I just focused on keeping him on the field and he and I playing soccer together rather than working with the group. This last week, though, Ryan was there, and the little stud fully participated. I was shocked and Ryan was excited! Clay and Chloe attended VBS at Messiah and seemed to have a fun time. It was 5 days straight, which was new for them. We also squeezed in a little vacay to Legoland and Sea World. It was a hot and busy three days of amusement parks, but the babes had a blast!

Here's some pictures...
