Summer Time!!

Well, you'd think I'd have had plenty of time to keep up with my blog during the summer, but somehow the days just flew by. The babes like to be busy. They went to bed every night asking what the plan was the next day. It didn't take me long to catch on to their desire of wanting more, so before they asked me they had to tell me something they were thankful for about the day we had. We had so much fun spending time together with no formal commitments. Our calendar was full of play dates and adventures!

In honor of Easton's love of T-Rex we went to an amazing dinosaur exhibition that had life size dinosaurs. Happy kids!
Little Miss Sassy pants asked for her first "kini"...Mommy bought her one and she wore it so much that there are holes in the bottoms!
Yearly fun with our good friends!!
Easton is a ball of energy, but when he's done, he crashes.
Our little firecrackers on 4th of July!!
Clayton and Easton got to try karate this summer. Clayton loved it and did great, but Easton didn't quite understand the focus and discipline part of karate.
"Where does rain come from?" Well, let's do an experiment to learn!!
 Board-breaking brothers!

 Fun at the farm!!

I pray these two are always the best of friends.
 Sunday Funday at the beach!!

When Chloe is quiet, check Mommy's bathroom. I'm sure you'll find her dressing up in my clothes, shoes, painting her nails or putting on make up!
Clayton and Easton got to watch their Daddy put out a house fire by himself in our neighborhood. It was a pretty exciting day for all and the damage was kept to just the exterior of the home.
Clayton had his first official playdate with his best buddy, Ben. These boys have such a special friendship that I hope continues.
Vacuum time!! We had an amazing five days at the Newport Coast Marriott. We swam and went to the beach every day!!

Chloe was so brave on the bungee trampoline!! She kept agreeing to go higher and higher!! Meanwhile the boys rode a crazy shark, but Mommy only got video of them.
All is right in the world...

Good times with the Sthay's and Olaert's at concerts in the park!!
This little one is always working so hard on her dance skills. We are so proud of her!
Daddy absolutely loves coaching Clayton. Clayton had an incredible clinic summer season on The Cavs. He scored at least 6 points every game (12 points was his highest game). He worked hard, was an aggressive defender, had amazing offensive moves, and most importantly had a blast!!
Working hard to get her "bow and arrow" leg hold. Her teacher, Miss Candice, is awesome!
On our way to Sea World and Easton needed to make a pit stop!

A rare moment of collaboration and simultaneous independence.
Easton's last day at My Gym. We have so many wonderful memories with all three kids at My Gym and are so grateful that despite the business of life, we were able to provide Easton with the same experience as the twins.

We learned this summer that Easton is allergic to basically everything outside. Besides keeping him in a bubble, there is an absolute cure for his reactions. We've added an essential oil blend to his daily routine, a HEPA filter and hypo allergenic bedding in his room, and reserve Benadryl for the really bad reactions. So far the most severe reaction was traveling hives that lasted about 36 hours; otherwise, he nearly daily will get a few random hives or bumps as he calls them that go away within the hour. Additionally, the combination of grass and water causes an extremely itchy, raised rash all over his body. We are constantly learning what irritates his sensitive skin and hope that he eventually grows out of it.

Fun adults only getaway with amazing friends!

Special date night to get new backpacks for preppy K!
 Afternoon cul-de-sac fun!!

We had a wonderful time visiting with my high school cheer and song friends. Time doesn't affect these friendships that I hold so dear to my heart.

Watch out for Batman!! Visiting our buddy, Ashton, who broke his arm.
Clayton, Chloe, and Easton helped Mommy make presents for their new teachers.
Daddy and Mommy surprised Chloe with a special date night at the Taylor Swift concert. We had so much fun together. Our little rockstar stayed awake until the last few songs.

 Having fun at Splash!

I had a training for a class I am teaching this year, so got to spend the night with my fabulous aunt and uncle in Del Mar!
 Summertime treats!
Got a DIY bug and found the courage to do it!
Little Man can officially ride a two-wheel pedal bike!! He's such a stud!!
Play dates with our best buddies Ben and Jillian!

Fun day with Daddy at the fire station. The babes got to go for a truck ride (Clayton got to drive with the tillerman in the back!) explore the ambulance, spray the fire hose, play handball, and go on the treadmill!

Fighting Darth Vadar at Parker's birthday party!!

Hot days = icee treats with Mommy!

We had a special back to school dinner to celebrate the babes and their new academic adventures in preppy k and preschool!

Clayton and Chloe got to meet their teacher, Mrs. Lansdale and see their classroom the day before school started. Their classroom is big and full of excitement!
Easton got a special note from his speech teacher sharing that he had met all of his short term speech goals. We are so proud of his progress and absolutely love his speech delay. It is so stinking cute. Besides a little difficulty understanding him when Easton speaks in long sentences, he's on track!
California may be in a drought, but it's hot and our backyard is torn up!
End of summer = pool construction time!!

After a lot of careful thought, we decided to let Chloe audition for her dance studio's company team. We are so proud of her and excited to watch our little fancy dancer!
Woohoo!! It's soccer season!! Daddy is coaching Clayton's team!! Clayton scored the first goal of the game and due to two players being gone, Easton got to play a full quarter! He did awesome!

Our future for the next few months...tractors, dirt, workers, and an overly anxious daddy!!
