Happy 3 Month Birthday Clayton Joseph and Chloe Grace!

Here are some pictures of our little Clay Man and Pretty Princess of their third month. I can't believe how much they have grown since they were born!

3 Month Photo Shoot...didn't go quite as well as planned!

Out on a summer evening walk and got a picture of both babies smiling!

Fashion Show...love these little coordinating outfits on Clayton and Chloe!

Our first date night...thanks Dad and Mom for sending us to Fleming's!

We cheered Daddy on at his handball tournament...he won!

Squirmmy McMuffin at her finest! My mom says that I was the same way.

Love my smiling little man!

We had so much fun in Newport for our first family trip to the beach!

After visiting Dr. Kan, our fertility doctor, we went to Duke's in Huntington Beach to celebrate me getting a part time teaching position and then walked on the pier.

We surprised Great Papa and Great Grandma...it was such a special day!

Such a happy baby boy...he's all smiles once his belly is full!

Our little Paci Princess...

We had a party to thank all of our family and friends for all of their love and support!

Happy 5th Birthday Roxi...we still love you even though Clayton and Chloe are here!

Clayton loves playing under his activity mat...he gets his legs and arms going so fast as he hits objects and grabs on to rings. Chloe is just starting to enjoy it, but doesn't like sharing the space with her brother!

There is nothing better in this world than holding and loving on the tiny life you created...

Wow...it's been awhile!!

Tomorrow Clayton and Chloe are 3 months old!! I can't believe how fast time has flown. I'll do a big update in few days with lots of new pictures, but thought I'd share the latest Carlos family news this past month...

*Clayton smiles in response now to just about anything.
*Chloe smiles too, but not quite as frequently yet.
*Clayton laughs now--it's probably the cutest noise ever!
*Chloe squeaks like crazy--we call her "squeaky mcphee".
*Clayton rolls over from his belly to his back--he's going to be so active!
*Chloe loves her paci and when it falls out does everything she can to get it back in.
*Clayton appears to be training for a marathon because every time he's on his activity mat, which he loves, his legs and arms are going a million miles an hour.
*Chloe loves relax in her swing--she's definitely a princess!
*Clayton has mastered the "I'm turning bright red, holding my breath scream," but it's amazing how the screams are immediately muted once he's picked up.
*Chloe has another name--"squirmy mcmuffin" because she squirms all over the place! I found her completely horizontal at the top of her crib this morning!
*At their 2 month appointment, Clayton was 12 pounds, 22 inches and Chloe was 10 pounds, 21 1/4 inches.
*Clayton is now in Level 2 diapers and wears size 3-6 months and Chloe is just on her way out of Level 1 diapers and can basically wear both 0-3 and 3-6 month clothes.

We are so enjoying every minute with Clayton and Chloe. They are more fun than I ever could have imagined. I also just learned that I will be teaching part time next year at Tuffree. I am so excited! So, I will work every day for about 3 hours. It's my goal to update more regularly...hold me accountable!!

Clatyon Joseph and Chloe Grace are 2 months old!

It's hard to believe that our little Clayton and Chloe are 2 months old! They are getting so big. I am enjoying watching the daily changes. It's pretty incredible. Clayton is really alert. He looks at everything and is so curious. I actually got a real smile from him today. He likes to get in bed with me every morning at about 6:45. We lay face to face until Chloe wakes up. When Clayton opened his eyes he gave me the biggest smile. He even smiled a couple more times right after! It was so amazing. Clayton loves spending his wake time on his activity mat and staring at anything red! Chloe has got the fullest little cheeks now. It's so incredible how much she has changed since her birth. She's much more alert and totally locks eyes with you now. Chloe bug loves her paci too! We can't get enough of them!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

We had a really nice day today. I made Ryan a photo book of all the first month pictures. He loved it! We went to church for the first time as a family, then had lunch at CPK, and went over to Papa Jim and Nonnie's for a yummy barbeque dinner. It was a fun and relaxing day!

Newborn Pictures!

We were lucky enough to take two sets of newborn pictures. I'm probably in love and biased, but I think Clayton and Chloe are absolutely beautiful! The pictures turned out amazing. I especially love the family picture.

Clayton and Chloe will be 8 weeks old on June 30th...time truly does fly! They are both getting so big and so alert. It's incredible to see the world through their eyes now. Chloe is a total doll. She's a happy, sweet, quiet little girl. Ryan calls her is Pretty, Pretty Princess. Clayton is a mommy's boy for sure. He has mastered the "no breathing" cry, but stops instantly once he's picked up. Just a typical little man!

I am adjusting better than I thought, especially on the days Ryan is working. I'm getting up at a more normal hour now (not sleeping in until 11!), getting out and about with Clayton and Chloe, and just really enjoying every minute with them. I'm so proud to be their mommy.

On Saturday, June 5th, Clayton and Chloe were 1 month old! I can't believe they are already 1 month old...it's amazing how fast time really does fly. They are both doing incredible. At their 2 week appointment, Clayton was 6 pounds 12 ounces, 19.5 inches, and Chloe was 5 pounds 8 ounces, 19.5 inches. We don't go back again until they are 2 months old.

Clayton is our little milk man. He eats a ton, rarely burps, and gulps as he drinks. It's so cute! He already has a double chin and a chubby little belly. Chloe has definitely caught up to her brother. She eats 4 ounces too, but is such a dainty little eater. She takes her time and does the sweetest little sucks. Her skinny cheeks have totally filled out too. They take turns deciding when it's time to eat, but most of the time Clayton lets out the first hunger cry. They are still in newborn clothes, but can wear some of their 0-3 month clothes. It's so fun dressing them each day...I'm going to need a second job to pay for all the clothes shopping I "have" to do!

Clayton and Chloe sleep in our room in their own snuggle nest in one pack and play. They have an "awake" time from about 10-midnight, so we are working on adjusting that. Otherwise they wake up every 2.5-3 hours, eat, and go back to sleep. Every night is a little different, but for the most part they are sleeping really well. Once Clayton eats, he's pretty much out, but Chloe is our little squeaker. She makes the highest pitched little squeaks all of the time...when she's awake and sleeping. We put them in their cribs after the 5-6 am feeding and I think we will be transitioning them to their cribs for the whole night pretty soon. It seems to be more comfortable for them. Clayton tends to wake up around 6 or 7 and the only thing that calms him is sleeping face to face with me. He loves to touch my face.

Roxi is adjusting, but is definitely feeling the change. She follows us everywhere. We still make time for her, but it is definitely harder now. Roxi still is a big part of our little family, though.

Ryan and I are loving being Clayton and Chloe's parents. We truly are in love with our precious little miracles. All of the challenges we experienced were worth every heartache and tear as Clayton and Chloe were always meant to be our babies. We never lost faith and couldn't be happier!
