Dry January!

So, I've decided to petition the stores in southern CA to get their spring stuff out in December, so that they are ready to go January 1st with a wardrobe to match the 80 degree, sun-filled skies. My children have full drawers of stainless, cute winter clothes and empty drawers of left over, stained, too small summer clothes.
Our news in a nutshell...Clayton had his first basketball game. Daddy is coaching his team and so far they have proven to be unstoppable. It is so much fun to watch and even more fun to watch the twinkle in Clayton's beautiful blue eyes as he steps onto the court. He LOVES basketball. Papa Jim is more than impressed with his understanding, determination, dribbling, and awesome shot. Clay has scored every game and when the game is over is ready for his next game. His team, the North Carolina Tar Heels, has some hard-working boys. Coach Daddy has worked really hard to teach the team the fundamentals of the game and it definitely shows. Clayton has 3 games left and in the meantime added t-ball to his weekly sports' schedule. He is on the Red Sox and is super excited. The coaches were laughing at his awesome throw at his first practice last week. In his short 4 1/2 years of life, we have learned that Clay is one determined and motivated little boy.
Chloe is dedicated to dance, but excited to add gymnastics to her schedule once summer begins. She takes two classes a week and has a private lesson twice a month. At home Chloe loses her patience pretty quickly, but at dance class she is one determined little girl. She's been working really hard on her leg lifts, ponches, splits, turns, and jazz walk. She loves dance and all the little friendships she is making from it.
Easton is absolutely rocking his speech delay. His automaticity with new words and conversation in general has sky-rocketed. He's doing great at 2-3 word sentences and really seems to feel better about himself now that he can communicate better. It finally started bothering him that we didn't know what he was trying to say; he needed that frustration in order to progress. He still loves My Gym and is doing much better at circle time and waiting his turn for the activities. Easton is definitely going to challenge us with his bravery and interest in all things physical. Lucky for him, he is our baby!

Here's some pictures that captured our month...
