Let the CRAZY begin...September!!

It's been a month to say the least. Clayton and Chloe started their second year of preschool. I went back to work with a new schedule, periods 3-5 (I work when the twins are in school!), Easton continued speech therapy and swimming lessons, Clayton had his first soccer game, Chloe started a second dance class, and we bought a new car! Needless to say Mommy has been stressed!!

Preschool: Clayton and Chloe are so lucky to be back with their same teacher, Mrs. Bardelsik. They have several of their friends from last year in their class again, which made the transition back to school seamless. There are actually 3 sets of boy/girl twins in their class.

Soccer: Clayton is loving soccer and is so excited on game days. He works hard, thinks a lot, and runs his little heart out. The weather has been so humid and hot. I'm hoping the second half of the season brings cooler temps. Clay already has 4 goals and nobody has scored on him at goalie. His team, the Ninja Turtles are pretty much dominating every game!

Dance: Chloe absolutely loves dancing, so we added a second class for her. In just a couple short months she nearly has two of her splitz and her standing leg lift. Chloe dances through the house all day and changes into her leotard every day during naptime.

Speech and Swim: Easton is progressing fabulously at speech therapy. He has tons of new words and is trying much harder to communicate with words. His new goals include increasing his automaticity with sentences. The gap isn't filled yet, but the progression is on track. We are so proud of him! He continued swimming too during September, ending the season understanding how to float, kick, and jump in!

Suburban Momma: Three kids beginning their academic and sport careers meant Momma needed a bigger car. Ryan exhausted himself and every dealership finding us the perfect used 2014 Suburban with a sun room and two DVD screens. The babes love it and so do I!!

Last Days of Summer...August!

The hot days of August really put a damper on our outdoor adventures, but we managed to have fun anyway! Clayton started his first official soccer team soccer practices. OMG! He was so excited and Ryan and I could hardly sleep the night before. Clay really enjoys soccer and is so focused. His first game is right after school starts in September. We can't wait! Chloe transitioned to a new dance class this month. It is a jazz and ballet combo class. The caliber of instruction is leagues more intense than her previous class. I honestly half expected her to walk out in tears, but sweet Chloe caught right on. From learning to do the splitz, to various dance combinations, and standing leg lifts, Chloe is incredibly focused and determined. She dances all throughout the house, validating our decision to add a second class for her in September even more. Easton continues to excel at speech. We are so proud of how far he has come. I've lost count of the words he has. He has several 2-3 word sentences and is getting increasingly confident with saying words on his own without prompting. I am so grateful we intervened early and even more grateful for little E's progress. Ryan and I celebrated our 9th anniversary (wow, we are getting old!) on August 20th. He surprised me with an overnight getaway at the HB Hyatt which is where we stayed for our wedding night. A nice boardwalk walk to dinner and drinks at Duke's, drinks at a hip and happening bar, sleeping in, and quiet time at the pool the following day was a well-deserved treat for us!
